Staff

The team is coached by Mark Schatz and assisted by Joel Maners. Joel also serves as the team manager.

Mark Schatz has been involved with competitive soccer most of his life. Having played for his high school soccer team in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mark has continued his involvement in the sport, playing competitive soccer for the past 14 years. For the past 4 years, he has coached recreational youth soccer in the Jackson Area Wide Soccer league. This past year he was named Head Coach for the St Mary's middle school girls soccer team. He currently holds a USSF "E" coaching license. Mark and his wife Leah have 3 daughters ages 12, 10, and 6. They attend St. Mary's Church in Jackson, Tennessee. Mark is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and is the Plant Manager of the General Electric facility in Selmer, Tennessee.

 

Joel Maners, a native of Jackson, has coached recreational youth soccer for the past 8 years. He currently holds a USSF "E" coaching license. This past year he served as the Assistant Coach for the Jackson Christian middle school girls soccer team. He and his wife Traci have 4 children: 2 daughters ages 13 and 11, and twin boys age 8. They attend Skyline Church of Christ in Jackson. Joel is a Graduate of the University of Memphis and is part owner of Golden Circle Graphics in Jackson.
